Khaki is the one neutral that actually does something. Where beige sits quietly and navy plays it safe, khaki has a slight edge to it, a utilitarian coolness that makes everything around it look more considered. The bomber jacket is already the easiest piece to reach for when an outfit needs finishing. In khaki, it becomes the piece that makes the outfit worth having in the first place. We love it over a white tee and straight leg jeans. We love it over a slip dress when the temperature drops just enough. We love that it works in spring, works in fall, and works on the kind of in-between days that make getting dressed genuinely difficult. The fit matters here more than anything else. Too boxy and it overwhelms. Too cropped and it loses its ease. We have found the ones that sit exactly right. The khaki bombers you will keep wearing long after you stopped thinking about them.
