These earn their place at anything slightly dressed up but not black tie: a lunch you’ve actually put thought into, an office day where you’ve got a client meeting, a wedding guest look that needs one interesting element rather than five. They photograph well because the sleeve creates its own shape in a picture, which is either a gift or a curse depending on how you’re standing, so my only real rule is to check your arms in a mirror before you leave the house, not just from the front.
